I beg you not to fill our landfills with fibers than can be transformed into beautiful and useful quilts. I think it's a great conversation starter for college kids. I have connections to people who make amazing quilts for graduation gifts, memory quilts and more.
One of my talks is about transforming items. I have changed antique tablecloths into quilted masterpieces, hankies into framed art, dungaree jackets into works of art and t-shirts into quilts of love. Let's do our part in sharing our possessions before we throw them away.
